8 Merimbula is a nice coastal town.
Merimbula is a nice coastal town. I would call it a sleepy town. Was a little surprised that the shops such as chemist didnt open till 10am on a Sunday. The beach is lovely and clean and the little coffee van at the beach was wonderful. Best part of my trip was the beach.

The weather was mostly sunny but a chill in the air. The bird life was beautiful and the views would have to be the best in the world. The people were friendly and we never witnessed any unacceptable behaviour which is a real plus these days. We felt save.

10 Merimbula is an ideal holiday spot.
Merimbula is an ideal holiday spot. As a holidaymaker there for over 40 years I think some of the apartments, caravan park in the Fishpond area are becoming too expensive. RSL is always a great place for lunch or dinner. Very reasonable prices and the food is good.

10 We were there as a group of 8 for 3 days.
We were there as a group of 8 for 3 days. There is plenty to do in and around Merimbula you only have to choose the things you like to do. We visited Eden and Boydtown. A delicious lunch at the Australis Hotel in Eden. A great walk along the boardwalk by the water and oyster leases. Lunch at the Bowling Club was delicious and good value. And plenty of shopping.

10 It is so very beautiful, Fishpen Lake, and the beach so...
It is so very beautiful, Fishpen Lake, and the beach so close together, so picturesque and when you stay in the many units and hotels built around these two, you awake to an amazing view. The other thing is that this town also has gorgeous shops to browse in, Top Fun Bowling and a movie cinema for when it rains. And absolutely great restaurants, with a variety of choices.

10 Merimbula is such a great place for families.
Merimbula is such a great place for families. There is plenty to do from Magic Mountain and Potaroo Palace to fishing and swimming on the beach. There are some great restaurants also. It does get very touristy in peak season though.
